NJED has put together a TEAM of Real Estate, Entertainment and Technical professionals to develop state-of-the-art facilities.
NJED leadership has the vision and relationships to deliver film studio facilities where the art can happen. The combined years of experience in the NJ Film industry, relationships with NJ government agencies, contacts with large real estate developers, and access to finance sources offer the complete package for the delivery of film studios.

Jerry Nardella, ESQ
Jerry is the founder and CEO of NJED. His experience as a Real Estate developer includes bringing Walmart to the Northeast and he has worked with the NJ film Commission for over 20 years. Jerry has assisted filmmakers working in NJ with sites and approvals. Many projects have been filmed on his own properties including much of the Sopranos series and Ron Howard’s Academy Award winning movie A Beautiful Mind.

Jim Wassel
Jim Wassel is a Real Estate Developer and Operator who oversaw the development and operations of signature entertainment and multi-use properties such as Faneuil Hall Marketplace, in Boston, and South Street Seaport, in New York City.
Many films have been shot at these historically restored properties including Arthur, Godzilla, Hitch, Working Girl and Blue Jasmine.

Ken Cummings
Ken Cummings is a Gold, Platinum, Billboard, and Grammy award-winning writer/producer. After 25 years in music, formed C&C Realty Investments developing over 30 properties in Jersey City.

Steve Furnary
Stephen Furnary was Chairman & CEO of Clarion Partners since 1982 (co-founder). He led Clarion partners into managing nearly $40 billion in assets for more than 280 domestic and international institutional investors. He brings the experience of leading many large real estate development deals across the U.S. Steve will help coordinate NJED’s financing for delivery of its film production facilities.

Bill Magid
Bill Magid has worked for over 40 years in the financial industry with JPMorgan and its predecessor companies and his own private equity firm. His transactions included a variety of major acquisition financings as well as several large major movie slate financings for Paramount, Dreamworks, NBC Universal and Village Roadshow.

S. Lloyd Tulp
Mr. Tulp is a lifelong New Jersey resident who began his real estate career in 1974. He earned a BS in Real Estate Economics/Finance from Bowling Green University. He completed his first development at age 27 in 1979. Mr Tulp is the third-generation of his family in the real estate business. His grandfather founded the H. J. Tulp Company in 1922, in Teaneck, NJ.

Salvatore Frassetto
Salvatore Frassetto is chairman of Saddleback Management Corporation, where he owns and manages over two million square feet of commercial property. Also known as Saddleback Real Estate Developers, the company focuses on industrial and commercial real estate in the state of New Jersey. Sal is also a managing member along with S. Lloyd Tulp of Tulfra Management Co., LLC, which owns and/or manages over 1.5 million square feet of commercial property.

Basil Iwanyk
Producer and founder of Thunder Road Films which has produced some of Hollywood’s biggest box office hits. His films have earned more than $3 billion internationally.
